Alina Messick, MPH, PA-C
Alina Messick (MPH, PA-C) has over five years of experience in the physician assistant and pain management arenas. Alina obtained two graduate degrees in Public Health and Physician Assistant Studies from West Chester University and Towson University, respectively. She earned her undergraduate from the University of Delaware.
Since graduating, she has worked in the Baltimore/DC metropolitan area as a physician assistant, focusing on chronic pain management, conducting musculoskeletal exams, interpreting lab work and images, and performing overall medical management for patients. She is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants. Alina resides in Baltimore, Maryland.
Nana Agyemang, FNP
For nearly 15 years, Nana Agyemang has worked in the healthcare profession as both a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. Nana has experience in skilled nursing facilities and hospitals and has helped patients with pain management and overall health education. She thrives in a team setting, striving to bring the best outcomes for those in her care. Licensed in the State of Maryland, Nana resides in Gaithersburg.
Adaku Obi Ogoke
Adaku Obi Ogoke has worked in healthcare centers for over a decade. She served as a Nurse Manager, mentoring and supervising staff, participating in daily rounds, coordinating admissions and promoting the center’s culture of safety. More recently, she has been working as a certified Nurse Practitioner and providing care to elderly residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
She has experience in managing and assisting patients with acute and chronic illnesses and educating residents and families on continuity of care, as well as preventative medicine, such as immunization and disease prevention. Adaku received the Nurse Excellence Award in 2015. A graduate of Chamberlain University in Illinois, Adaku is currently an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the University of Maryland.
Victoria O. Ajayi
Victoria O. Ajayi is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and experienced Registered Nurse. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Victoria has worked with patients with a variety of health challenges. She provided education to patients on chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma and hypertension and has worked with cardiac patients in pre- and post-op settings. Victoria spent two years at Covenant Health Hospital in Nigeria where she acted as a Nursing Supervisor.
Upon returning to the States, she has worked in Home Healthcare settings and Baltimore-area hospitals, as a Charge Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. Victoria received her Associate’s Degree from the School of Nursing Akure in Nigeria, Bachelor’s Degree from University of Baltimore, and her Master of Science Degrees from Grand Canyon University and Chamberlain University.
Nathan Mychak, PA
Nathan Mychak, PA obtained his Bachelor of Science with a major in Physician Assistant Studies from the Pennsylvania College of Technology, an affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University. PA Mychak is certified by, The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is currently advancing his education with The University of Edinburgh School of Medicine, where he is studying to earn his masters degree in Clinical Pain Management. He has been practicing a practicing PA for 7 years. He has experience in interventional pain management, physical medicine and rehabilitation, urgent care, occupational medicine, and family medicine. He has completed multiple neuromuscular injection preceptorships with Georgetown University’s Neurology department, as well as Utica Park Clinic in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Nathan has completed multiple joint injection and ultrasound guided injection courses. PA Mychak has earned multiple advanced duty designations for ultrasound guided muscular and joint injections from the Maryland Board of Physicians. He is currently a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Society of Addiction Medicine, American Academy of PAs. In his spare time PA Mychak enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid weight lifter.
Candice A. Peters, MD, FAAPMR
For over 20 years, Dr. Candice Peters has worked in the healthcare industry. A graduate of Temple University, Dr. Peters received her M.D. from Howard University College of Medicine. During Medical school, she received the William E. Matory Sr. Award for Excellence in Trauma and Critical Care Surgery. She then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Peters completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and during this time she also completed acupuncture training at the Helms Acupuncture Institute through UCLA.
After residency, Dr. Peters returned to Maryland where she specializes in the reduction of pain and improvement of function of many musculoskeletal disorders. In addition Dr. Peters serves as the Clinical Medical Director at Hallaway, LLC, in Baltimore and in 2017, she was appointed to the Maryland Health Care Commission. She is licensed and certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as a published author on the topic of pain management.
Christie M. Livengood, MSN, RN, FNP-C
Christie Livengood, CRNP is a board-certified nurse practitioner who started into the field of nursing 8 years ago and has spent most of her career providing emergency and trauma care at Western Maryland Health System where she was recognized twice as a Peak Performer. Christie started her professional education with a Bachelor of Science degree from Frostburg State University. She became a registered nurse after completing an Associate Degree in Nursing from Allegany College of Maryland and worked as a registered nurse in the ER while obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Mount Aloysius College in which she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Christie completed her education with distinction in 2017 at Chamberlain University in which she was awarded a Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a focus in Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her national board certification from The American Association of Nurse Practitioners. As a nurse practitioner, she has cared for patients from infancy to geriatric. Her experience includes: family medicine, mental health, acute care, occupational medicine, and pain management. She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association and The American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Dr. Joseph Dekker, DO [ COO ]
Dr. Joseph Dekker is a board-certified Pain Medicine, Neuromuscular Medicine, and Family Medicine physician and Chief Operating Officer at Novus Pain Management. Joseph attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Broward General Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident, and was named Resident of the Year in 2011. He completed his Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship in Miami, FL, and he completed his Pain Medicine Fellowship through Conjoint Medical Board in 2017.
Dr. Dekker annually performs state and national educational lectures on Safe Opiate Prescribing, Non-Pharmacologic Techniques for Chronic Pain, Interventional and Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound workshops as well as co-authoring “The Addicted Patient” in The Somatic Dysfunction in Osteopathic Family Medicine.
Dr. Dekker has served as a Pain Management physician in Maryland since 2013, and he has experience in the outpatient interventional, hospital, and skilled nursing setting. He is committed to improving nursing patient care and outcomes with a focus on strong team collaboration, reducing pain and improving quality of life, effective medication and procedural utilization, optimal mobility, reducing hospitalizations due to pain concerns, as well as decreasing length of stay for subacute patients.
An avid traveler, Joseph is fluent in English, Spanish and Japanese.
Justin Molignoni, CRNP

A native of south central Pennsylvania, Justin has a varied business and medical background. Justin has graduated from Juniata College with a degree in business and minor in physics before eventually entering medicine and obtaining his MSN from Simmons College. Justin is accredited by the ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner with background in Critical Care, Nephrology and Internal Medicine as well as a published lead researcher in the Journal of Critical Care Medicine and a guest lecturer. Justin’s population experience ranges from ambulatory, outpatient through acute and subacute populations. He is also an entrepreneur and in the past held roles including Chief Executive Officer and Business Development Manager.
